  2. I really enjoyed our time together and especially the presentation by Mrs. Deleon. I have seen AVID binders and planners in use but I loved the explanation of the modified two-four column notes and the writing focus using the three different levels of questioning. Emily-your scavenger hunt was a great way to get us engaged in the amazing things Karshner has going on! See you all on Wednesday!

    1. Great night at Karshner. 27 short years ago Jeannine Deleon was a student in 8th grade Social Studies. She was a standout student and caring above all. Awesome how she has high expectations for all students and a culture of learning in the classroom. Also, was re-energized to vamp our teacher "college-bulletin boards". Added that to the "To Do List". Thanks for being a wonderful host Emily.

  6. It's so wonderful to see the consistency these students have with the expectations in the building and with their AVID binders. As a mother of a fresh junior high students this is a NEEDED skill to teach to students. I also enjoyed the blended programs that are being used to make a great learning environment for students. Great school, Emily! Thanks for sharing it with us.
