Progress?

WSUP! South Puget Sound Interns! Just a reminder and a pacing nudge to help you calibrate and complete your assignments in a timely manner. At this point as of 9/15... You should have competed and received feedback from your University Supervisors on at least 2 Journal Reflections (August 15, September 1 and your 3rd entry is due this week)...more detail here. You should have completed a draft of you "Platform of Educational Beliefs" and submitted it to your university supervisor. Remember this assignment does not have a rubric and is not graded, but it will help articulate your core beliefs for future applications and interviews. You should have a substantial and solid beginning to your LEP Learning Environment Profile (Portfolio) analysis and product. This assignment will be graded by your University Supervisor using this rubric. You should have documented numerous hours in your log. This should continue to be a daily routine. Likewise, you may have documented hours in your "Record of Engagement with Diverse Populations" You should have completed your Pre Internship Performance Self Assessment with your supervisor and shared & discussed the results with your University Supervisor during their first site visit. This assessment is intended to guide the discussion regarding possible intern projects to help meet all 6 standards. This first site visit should happen soon if it hasn't already. You can expect at least 2 visits from the University Supervisor each Semester. You should have a rough calendar of the use of 1st semester AWSP intern grant days. This may include days where you will be covering for you principal or attending conferences...observations of other schools are more likely to occur during the 2nd semester. Go Cougs! Glenn
